I am both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Michigan. I am also registered with Michigan Certification Board as a Certified Clinical Supervisor on a Development plan. I also completed clinical supervisor training and received the designation as Mentoring Institute Trained Supervisor from the Mentoring Institute in Kalamazoo, Mi. I graduated from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Counseling, with emphasis in professional mental health counseling in 2011. I also have a Bachelors degree in Human Service 2007 and enjoyed teaching as an adjunct in 2016 and 2017 at the Muskegon Michigan campus.
I am known for creating a relaxed comfortable approach to counseling. My integrative psychotherapy approach involves genuine caring, acceptance, and non judgement. I work with clients dealing with various issues using a coming along side my client approach to navigate through many life stressors/struggles assisting my clients to create more meaning and purpose in their lives.
I enjoy traveling and visiting with my family and friends. I enjoy time at the beach and in nature wherever there is water around I am completely happy and at peace hence the name of my therapy practice “HOPE on the Lakeshore Therapy”. I am an avid Jeeper and love spending time at Silver Lake or trailriding with local clubs. I feel like having hobbies and time emotionally engaged with nature as incredibly helpful in providing excellent care to my clients.
I had a long-time goal to become a therapist and helping professional. I consider myself blessed to be able to work in a profession I truly love. “It’s an honor to be invited into my client’s lives and to travel the journey with them through healing, change, and creating purpose in their lives.
